9. Delhi Government has taken a significant decision to reduce the Value Added Tax on Aviation Turbine Fuel in the National Capital from 25 per cent to 7 per cent. Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said.

11. The National Medical Commission is urging the healthcare sector to prepare doctors for the responsible and ethical integration of artificial intelligence to improve patient care and medical practices.

12. The West Bengal government has granted in-principle approval for the transfer of seven important national highway stretches to central agencies, clearing a prolonged administrative hurdle that had stalled several strategic projects across the state.

The decision allows the National Highways Authority of India (National Highways Authority of India) and the National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd (National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd) to proceed with pending expansion and modernisation works on routes considered critical for regional trade, tourism and border connectivity.

13. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has said that the Southwest Monsoon is likely to set in over Keralam on 26th of this month with a model error of plus or minus four days. IMD has forecast Heat Wave to Severe Heat Wave conditions over West Uttar Pradesh.

1. West Central Railway has constituted a higher administrative grade level inquiry committee to investigate the fire incident in Thiruvananthapuram Central-Hazrat Nizamuddin Rajdhani Express yesterday.

2. Delhi Police has issued a memorandum regarding the rationalisation of government vehicle usage in its offices and units and measures for the reduction of Fuel Consumption. The memorandum has been issued by the office of Police Commissioner in view of the prevailing international situation and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal for austerity measures and reduction in fuel consumption.

3. All India Students’ Association (AISA) members stage a protest against the National Testing Agency (NTA) over the alleged paper leak concerns following the cancellation of the NEET-UG 2026 examination, at Jantar Mantar, in New Delhi.

4. The Anand Marriage Act, which enables Sikh couples to register their traditional marriages under their own specific legal framework, will come into force in Sikkim from June 1 after Supreme Court prod. This will allow members of the Sikh community in Sikkim to register their marriages solemnised under the traditional ‘Anand Karaj’ ceremony directly.

5. The Supreme Court, has taken a serious view of the persistent illegal sand mining within the National Chambal Sanctuary, reprimanding the Rajasthan state authorities for their failure to curb the activity.

The Court has impleaded the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) in the matter, asked the authorities from the Mines Department and the Transport and Road Safety Department, State of Rajasthan, to file a compliance affidavit and be present in the court on the next date of hearing.
