1. Union AYUSH Minister Prataprao Jadhav said that the main national event of International Day of Yoga 2026 will be held in Kolkata on June 21, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi leading the celebrations.

2. Noida International Airport at Jewar in Uttar Pradesh commenced commercial flight operations yesterday, marking a significant milestone in the country’s civil aviation sector.

3. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has said that the country has adequate buffer stock of foodgrains and there will be no food shortage despite the impact of El Nino conditions. Speaking at the Mindmine Summit in New Delhi.

4. Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari today laid the foundation for four new National Highways and upgradation of two National Highways in Meghalaya with an investment of 3,214 crore rupees.

5. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has invited the National University of Singapore (NUS) to establish an international branch or satellite campus in Amaravati to develop the capital city into a global education hub.

6. The Himachal Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority, in collaboration with the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), conducted the 10th state-wide mega mock drill.

7. In Punjab, house-to-house enumeration under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026 will commence across the state from 25th June to 24th July.

8. Assam’s cultural heritage and traditional products have gained global recognition, with four unique products from the state being awarded Geographical Indication (GI) tags. The products that have received GI tags include Bah Silpa-Assamese Bamboo Craft, Karbi Anglong Handloom, Bihu Pepa and Deori Handloom Products.

9. Department of Heritage Telangana signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Noor International Microfilm Centre, Iran Cultural House, Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, New Delhi, on 15 June 2026 for the digitisation, preservation, conservation, and cataloguing of rare manuscripts, paintings, books, and archival records. The agreement covers about 737 manuscripts, 3,091 paintings, 14,522 library books, and 101 Dastawazats, which are archival records.

10. Telangana launched its flagship Breakfast and Milk Scheme on 15 June 2026, when schools reopened after the summer vacation. The scheme covers students from pre-primary to Class XII in government schools and junior colleges across the state, it has allocated an annual expenditure of ₹720 crore for the scheme.

11. Recently Uttar Pradesh government has launched a dedicated registration portal for the Chief Minister’s cashless medical scheme for teachers and their dependents. The portal, cmtcts.upsdc.gov.in, was rolled out on 6 June 2026 for basic education teachers under the education department.

12. The Union Public Commission Service (UPSC) has declared the result of civil services preliminary examination (CSE) for this year. UPSC informed that this year against more than one thousand vacancies, a total of more than 13 thousand candidates have been shortlisted for the civil services (Main) examination. UPSC also informed candidates that marks, cut off marks and answer key will be uploaded on the commission’s website only after the declaration of final result.

13. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall over parts of Northeast, Bihar, Kerala, Mahe, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal today.

14. India’s southwest monsoon appears to have all but disappeared from satellite imagery, with large parts of the country witnessing a dramatic collapse in rainfall activity just days after the seasonal rains advanced into southern and central regions.

*Fresh data from the India Meteorological Department (IMD) shows that India has received only 19.2 mm of rainfall against a normal of 53.7 mm between June 4 and June 15, translating into a nationwide rainfall deficit of 64%.

1. The Investigation Team (SIT) constituted for the allegations of misappropriation of donations and valuables at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya begun its probe.

2. The Ahmedabad Cyber Crime Branch has arrested three persons from Rajasthan and Bihar for their alleged involvement in fraud and running scams related to the NEET exam.

3. Indian security agencies have flagged the emergence of a new and potentially dangerous Khalistani terror outfit, the Khalistani Liberation Army (KLA), describing it as one of the most trained, armed, and organised proxy groups to emerge under the Khalistani terror umbrella in recent years.

Ugale also featured in some films, portraying the younger version of Tara Rani in the Vicky Kaushal-starrer historical drama ‘Chhaava’ and made an appearance alongside Manoj Bajpayee in the investigative thriller ‘Silence 2: The Night Owl Bar Shootout’.

Television actor Sanchita Ugale, known for her roles in popular shows like Kumkum Bhagya and Wagle Ki Duniya, Ugale was found at her home in the Nallasopara area around 7 p.m. on Sunday (June 14, 2026) when she was alone at her home.

1. Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) yesterday successfully conducted the flight-test of the indigenously developed Long Range Land Attack Cruise Missile from Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Island in Odisha.

2. The Vajra Corps of the Indian Army has appealed to the countrymen that when they visit the border state of Punjab, do not forget to visit Gurudwara Saragarhi Sahib, Hussainiwala Memorial and battle-scarred walls of Ferozepur Fort in Ferozepur and the Asal Uttar in Khemkaran town of Tarn Taran, famously known as the graveyard of Pakistani tanks.

Gurudwara Saragarhi Sahib is dedicated to those 21 Sikh soldiers of the 36 Sikh Regiment of British Indian Army who fought valiantly with ten thousand Afghani tribesmen to defend their post at Saragarhi in Waziristan on September, 12 1897.

This battle has no parallels in the military history in which 21 soldiers displayed extraordinary bravery and died while defending and not surrendered or abandoned their post.

3. Indian Army selected the MEPRO X6 telescopic sight as the daytime optic for in-service NEGEV machine guns on 15 June 2026. The programme involves indigenous manufacture in India under a Transfer of Technology agreement between Meprolight and RRP Defense, with Bharat Electronics Limited as the prime contractor.

4. Indian Army introduced a new uniform code through the 174-page Army Uniforms-2026 Pamphlet in June 2026. The manual is the first comprehensive update to the Army’s dress regulations in eight years and covers formal attire, winter working dress, ceremonial wear, grooming standards, and women officers’ clothing options.

5. INS Agray Joins Arnala-Class Anti-Submarine Fleet

General Info about : *INS AGRAY* is the fifth ship of the Arnala class of Anti-Submarine Warfare Shallow Water Craft (ASW SWC) for the Indian Navy. The vessel was launched on 13 March 2024 and delivered by Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers (GRSE), Kolkata, on 30 March 2026.
