1. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will share his thoughts with the people of the country and abroad in the Mann Ki Baat programme on Akashvani on 26th July. 2. Uttar Pradesh created a new benchmark in environment conservation by planting 35 crore 27 lakh saplings in a single day under the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched the state-wide Vriksharopan Maha Yagya drive from Gorakhpur, by planting the sacred Triveni saplings comprising Neem, Peepal and Banyan near Link Expressway.
3. Home Minister Amit Shah launched a massive tree plantation drive in Gandhinagar, Gujarat which saw the planting of over 1.25 crore saplings across his Lok Sabha constituency.
4. The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation has introduced the Amnesty Scheme, 2026, providing a one-time opportunity for establishments operating ‘Exempted Provident Fund’ to regularise their status. Labour and Employment Ministry said that the scheme will remain open for a period of six months.

Northern Railway has achieved significant milestones in operational efficiency, revenue generation, ticket checking, and passenger services during the first quarter of the financial year 2026-27, from April to June. During this period, it enhanced passenger convenience through various operational initiatives and recorded significant revenue growth.

The Pradhan Mantri Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) Scheme has crossed the milestone of sanctioning loans to more than two lakh micro food processing enterprises across the country. The Scheme has leveraged project investments of over 20 thousand 300 crore rupees and generated nearly 11 lakh direct and indirect employment opportunities.

Union Minister for Labour and Employment, Dr Mansukh Mandaviya, will inaugurate seven Employees’ State Insurance (ESI) healthcare projects worth around 668 crore rupees across the country on Tuesday. These projects include the new Outpatient Department (OPD) Block at the ESIC Hospital in Sanathnagar, Telangana.

Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav will transfer more than 1,835 crore rupees to the bank accounts of over 1.25 crore women through Direct Benefit Transfer at a state-level programme in Lahar, Bhind district.
14. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for very heavy rainfall over Assam, Meghalaya, Bihar, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim. 1. The Government has debunked a fake approval letter, claiming to grant a loan of five lakh rupees under the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana on payment of 350 rupees as a processing fee.
The Fact Check Unit of the Press Information Bureau (PIB) has termed the letter as fake. It was clarified that the Micro Units Development and Refinance Agency (MUDRA) does not lend directly to micro-entrepreneurs or individuals.
2. The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has issued nine notices to Swiggy Instamart following multiple consumer complaints alleging violations under the Food Safety and Standards Act 2006.
3. The Government has refuted a fake image circulating on social media claiming that ethanol-blended petrol can cause problems in a vehicle’s fuel tank. The Press Information Bureau’s Fact Check Unit has termed the claim as false.
4. Annamalai Says ‘True Hindu’ Treats Everyone Equally, ‘No Need To Display Religion Every Time : Former Tamil Nadu BJP Chief K Annamalai has expressed that no one need to show their affection his religion publicly and the identity of nation should come first. 5. The vehicles moving on the Dasna-Hapur stretch on the Delhi-Lucknow National highway (NH-09) will have to be more careful about speeding from now onwards. The NHAI (National Highway Authority of India) is planning to add speed cameras on the route to avoid accidents.

The mortal remains of the 15 Indian tourists who lost their lives in boat capsize incident, near Phu Quoc Island in Vietnam were taken to Ho Chi Minh City yesterday. The Indian Embassy in Vietnam in a social media post informed that the mortal remains will be transported to India at the earliest after the completion of necessary formalities in Ho Chi Minh City.
Vietnamese Prime Minister Le Minh Hun has ordered a probe into the speedboat tragedy near Phu Quoc Island that claimed the lives of 15 Indian tourists.
