5. BIHAR : Deputy chief minister Tar Kishore Prasad, who also holds charge of the finance portfolio, presented the annual state budget on Monday afternoon. He presented a Rs 2,37,691 crore budget for the financial year 2022-23 in the Vidhan Sabha. education, health get top priority.
6. DELHI : Cooperative GCMMF, which markets milk and milk products under the Amul brand, has increased milk prices by ₹ 2 per litre with effect from Tuesday due to rise in input cost.
7. J& K: A police inspector was attacked by suspected militants in the Batamaloo area of J&K’s Srinagar on Monday, police said. The policeman, identified as Sheikh Firdous, was returning from a local mosque after offering prayers when he was fired upon, police added. He is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital and his condition is said to be stable.
8.KARNATAKA: unit of Congress has resumed its padayatra to demand the implementation of the Mekedatu reservoir project. The padayatra began on 27 Feb (Sunday) from Bidadi and by evening is expected to reach Kengeru and conclude on Thursday in Bengaluru.

10. KERALA: Govt has allowed cinema halls to use their full seating capacity in the wake of steady decline in Covid-19 cases. Restaurants will also be permitted to use their maximum capacity.
11. MUMBAI : A major fire broke out in the NG Royal Park, a housing complex in Kanjurmarg in Mumbai on Monday. Around 10 fire tenders have been rushed to the spot. Fire fighting efforts are on to douse the fire.

13. TELANGANA: Veteran Telugu Desam leader Yadlapati Venkata Rao passed away due to old age in Hyderabad early on Monday. He was 102 years old.
14. Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leader Sheikh Sajid Khan, who’s on the run after being accused of rape by a 15-year-old girl, has been expelled from the party. The announcement was made by TRS on Monday, just a day after police registered a sexual assault case against Khan. Police said they’re searching for him and shall “arrest him at the earliest”.

India’s economic growth slowed to 5.4 per cent in the third quarter of 2021-22 but higher than China’s GDP expansion of 4 per cent during the same period and the country retained its position as the world’s fastest growing major economy
16. PM Modi will address a Post Budget webinar on Technology-enabled development on 2nd March. The Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser along with several scientific ministries and departments of Government of India are organising this webinar.

18.Actor Lee Jung Jae has won the award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series for ‘Squid Game’ at the SAG Awards 2022. Actress Jung Ho Yeon received the Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series. The South Korean series also won in the Outstanding Action Performance as a Stunt Ensemble category.
Actors Will Smith and Jessica Chastain were awarded Outstanding Performance by a Male and Female Actor in a Leading Role respectively at the SAG Awards 2022. Will won for his performance in ‘King Richard’ while Jessica was awarded for her role in ‘The Eyes of Tammy Faye’. The film ‘CODA’ won Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.
American rock band Green Day has decided to cancel its upcoming concert in Moscow in the wake of Russia’s military operation in Ukraine. The concert was earlier scheduled for May 29.
