1. The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has shared highlights from his address at the 134th Episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat’.

2. The Election Commission has said that enumeration under Phase-III of Special Intensive Revision (SIR) began yesterday in Odisha, Mizoram, Sikkim and Manipur.

3. In Maharashtra, the ruling Mahayuti alliance today finalised its seat-sharing formula for the upcoming Legislative Council elections for 17 seats. Under the agreement, the BJP will contest 11 seats, Shiv Sena 4 seats, and the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) 2 seats.

4. Nagaland is set to strengthen tobacco control measures by introducing tobacco vendor licensing rules and enhancing enforcement across the state.

5. Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh took an oath as President of the Lainingthou Sanamahi Temple Board at a ceremony held at the Lainingthou Sanamahi Temple Complex in Imphal.

12. In Jammu and Kashmir, the self-enumeration phase of the House Listing and Housing Census concluded yesterday, with the main field exercise set to begin today. The enumerators and supervisors will undertake door-to-door visits across the Union Territory from tomorrow till the 30th of June to collect detailed information related to housing and population.

13. The Uttar Pradesh government has appointed senior IPS officer Rajeev Krishna as the state’s new Director General of Police.

1. Five people lost their lives after a commercial building collapsed near Saket Metro Station in South Delhi.

2. In Himachal Pradesh, all eight occupants of a vehicle that plunged into a deep gorge in Chamba district have been confirmed dead. The accident took place on the Bairagarh-Sach Pass-Killar road in the remote Churah subdivision.

3. In Maharashtra, death toll in the Pune spurious liquor tragedy has risen to 21. The victims include seven people from Pune city and 14 from the Pimpri-Chinchwad and Uruli Kanchan areas.

1. In Jammu and Kashmir, the Army has introduced an Aadhaar-based entry and exit system at Line of Control (LoC) gates in Poonch district to facilitate easier movement for residents living across the border fence.

2. Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh yesterday held discussions with United States (US) Congressman and House Armed Services Committee member Pat Harrigan in Singapore, who led a bipartisan US Congressional delegation.

Defence Secretary interacted with the Defence Minister of New Zealand Chris Penk, and Minister for Defence of Singapore Chan Chun Sing on the sidelines of IISS ShangriLa Dialogue 2026 in Singapore.

3. India has cleared the creation of a new tri-service missile force, marking a significant step in its military modernisation. The Conventional Missile Force, or CMF, will integrate the capabilities of the Army, Navy, and Air Force under a single command structure.

4. Indonesia is now on the verge of finalising a significant defence agreement with India for the acquisition of BrahMos supersonic cruise missiles. Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh confirmed that negotiations are in the final stages.

5. General N. S. Raja Subramani has formally assumed charge as India’s Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), succeeding General Anil Chauhan.

6. Admiral Krishna Swaminathan assumed charge as the 27th Chief of the Naval Staff. He succeeds Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi.
