1. 1. National Investigation Agency on Saturday carried out raids at multiple locations in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar against the Communist Party of India-Maoist in an anti-India conspiracy case.

2. A case has been registered against Charan Das Mahant, the Chhattisgarh Congress’ Leader of Opposition, over his ‘objectionable’ remarks against PM Modi at a public rally.

3. The LAB (Leh Apex Body), along with the Kargil Democratic Alliance, is spearheading an agitation to demand statehood for Ladakh and its inclusion in the Sixth Schedule of the Constitution.

Accusing the administration of turning Leh into a “war zone” ahead of its march to the China border on April 7, the Leh Apex Body on Saturday said it is withdrawing the proposed event to “avoid any sort of confrontation with the law-enforcement agencies”.

1. Recently Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan addresses officers undergoing 79th Staff Course at DSSC, Wellington. He has highlighted the need for Military Leaders to adapt to the changing character of war.

The 79th Staff Course is presently underway at the College. The course is of 45 weeks duration. The present course comprises of 476 student officers to include 36 students from 26 Friendly Foreign Countries. For the first time, eight Women Officers are also participating in the course.

2. India’s Strategic Forces Command (SFC), also known as the Strategic Nuclear Command, is undergoing a significant overhaul with the introduction of new missile technologies. In its latest move, India successfully tested the new-generation Agni-Prime ballistic missile with a range of 2,000 kilometers, aimed at countering potential threats from neighboring Pakistan.

3. Indian Army has issued an AoN for procurement of Canister Launched Anti-Armour Loiter Munition (CALM) System with accessories for Mechanised Infantry in Buy IDDM (Indigenously Designed, Developed and Manufactured-IDDM) Defence Procurement Procedure.The Canister Launched Anti-Armour Loiter Munition (CALM) System is a pre-loaded canister with a drone or loiter ammunition. It can destroy moving targets, communication centres.

4. For the second time, the launch of AgniKul ‘Agnibaan SOrTeD’ has been postponed. The launch was scheduled from Sriharikota, but was postponed. No reason has been given.

The Chennai-based Agnikul Cosmos was to test-fire an Agnibaan rocket with 3D-printed engine, aiming for suborbital flight trajectory control.
