1. Election Commission has issued transfer orders for District Magistrates, Superintendents of Police and DIG/IG rank officers in Assam, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha and Andhra Pradesh.

2. Election Commission has launched Myth Vs Reality register to combat the spread of misinformation in General Elections 2024. The register will be updated on a regular basis. It is accessible to the public through the Election Commission’s official website.

3. Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) released a Consultation Paper on inputs for formulation of National Broadcasting Policy-2024 on Tuesday.

4. Former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir Ghulam Nabi Azad will contest the Lok Sabha elections from Anantnag -Rajouri constituency, his party Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) said.

5. The Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA) led by Dalit leader Prakash Ambedkar on Tuesday announced former Maharashtra Navnirman Sena leader Vasant More as its candidate for the Pune Lok Sabha constituency.
In Baramati, VBA party will support the candidate of Nationalist Congress Party-(Sharadchandra Pawar).

6. A Congress delegation met with the Election Commission on Tuesday, urging the poll body to direct the removal of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s photo from state schemes. Salman Khurshid, part of the delegation, stated that the EC has issued orders preventing the implementation of new schemes.

7. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will reach the district on April 3 to submit his nomination papers at the collectorate here for the Wayanad parliamentary constituency after leading a roadshow at Kalpetta in Wayanad.

8. Telangana Civil Supplies and Irrigation minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy said that the Congress government in Telangana would not implement the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) or the National Register of Citizens (NRC) in Telangana.

1. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) filed its reply on Tuesday in Delhi High Court against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s plea challenging his arrest and custody in connection with the Excise Policy case.

In its reply, the ED called Kejriwal’s arrest legal and said that it maintained all procedural requirements of Section 16 of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act. It said Article 22 of the Constitution had also been strictly complied with.

2. Supreme Court granted bail to Aam Aadmi Party leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh in alleged liquor excise policy scam on Tuesday.

3. The Supreme Court came down heavily on Patanjali Ayurved on Tuesday, its Managing Director Acharya Balkrishna and its co-founder Baba Ramdev in the misleading advertisements case.

A Bench of Justices Hima Kohli and Ahsanuddin Amanullah was hearing a petition filed by the Indian Medical Association against Patanjali’s advertisements attacking allopathy and making claims about curing certain diseases.

4. The Supreme Court on Monday refused to halt Hindu prayers at Vyas Tehkhana in the Gyanvapi Mosque complex, situated in Uttar Pradesh’s Varanasi. However, the top court ordered status quo on the religious observances by the Hindus inside the mosque premises.

The bench, however, said that Muslims can enter mosque unhindered from the northern side to offer namaz while priests of the Kashi Vishwanath temple trust would take southern entry to perform puja in the cellar.

5. Civil Aviation Ministry has sought a report from Vistara Airlines regarding flight delays. The Ministry has said that airlines have to comply with Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) norms to ensure passenger facilitation in case of cancellation or delay of flights.

6. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has filed a money laundering case against Trinamool Congress leader Mahua Moitra and businessman Darshan Hiranandani in connection with an alleged cash-for-queries scam case.

1. The oil marketing companies announced a reduction in prices for 19 kg commercial cylinders and 5 kg FTL (Free Trade LPG) cylinders. The change will be effective from April 1, 2024 after which price of a 19 kg commercial cylinder has been decreased by ₹30.50. In New Delhi, the new price is set at ₹1764.50 starting from April 1. Price of the 5 kg FTL cylinder has been lowered by ₹7.50.

2. According to reports, India’s Ultratech Cement (ULTC.NS), would set aside 324 billion rupees ($3.89 billion) for ongoing capital expenditure over the next three years.

Director Blessy’s survival drama Aadujeevitham – The Goat Life, starring Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead role, has also emerged as the fastest Malayalam film to collect Rs 50 crore at the global box office.

The movie depicts the adventurous escape of a Malayali labourer from the clutches of slavery enforced by a Bedouin Arab sponsor. This “Kafeel” or sponsor, as in the real-life story of Alappuzha native Shukkoor, now famous as Najeeb Muhammad (character portrayed by Prithviraj in the film).

1. The Indian Army’s medical corps has extended a lifeline Service to elderly and immobilized patients in the remote areas of Chiktan in Kargil of Ladakh.

2. Border Security Force has organised an art and craft exhibition at Ashwini BSF Officers’ Institute in New Delhi. The exhibition will be organized till 5th of April. It is open to the public.

4. Jammu and Kashmir Police is all set to train its old batches for rigorous training for anti-terrorism operations. All probationary officers of Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) in the ranks of Deputy Superintendents of Police (DySPs), Sub Inspectors (SIs) and constables after completion of their training in the Police Training Academies and Centres, will, in future, also be trained in counter-terror operations.

5. In a major anti-insurgency operation ahead of the Lok Sabha polls, security personnel gunned down 10 Naxalites, including a woman, in an encounter in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district on Tuesday.

Bijapur district comes under the Bastar Lok Sabha constituency, which will go to polls in the first phase of the general elections on April 19.
