1. Moon Sighted, Fasting Month of Ramzan Begins: PM Modi has wished everyone a blessed Ramzan. In his message, Prime Minister Narendra Modi hoped that this holy month brings joy, good health and prosperity in everyone’s lives.

2. The government has announced the implementation of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) on 11, March 2024, bringing the law back into the spotlight. The CAA aims to provide a pathway to Indian citizenship for persecuted minority communities from neighbouring countries, but it has faced criticism and protests over the exclusion of Muslims.

3. The Citizenship (Amendment) Act was passed by the Central Government in Parliament in 2019. Its purpose is to grant Indian citizenship to refugees belonging to six non-Muslim communities (Hindus, Christians, Sikhs, Jains, Buddhists, and Parsis) who have fled religious persecution from Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan and entered India on or before 31 December, 2014.

4. PM Modi extended Vande Bharat Service from Mangaluru Central to Thiruvananthapuram Central and a new Kollam–Tirupati Express on March 12 through videoconferencing.

5. The Ministry of Women and Child Development has introduced a National Curriculum for Early Childhood Care and Education for Children (ECCE) for children from three to Six Years and a National Framework for Early Childhood Stimulation for Children from Birth to three years.

Over 1100 renowned writers and scholars are participating in this year’s Sahityaotsav.

9. PM Modi will dedicate two new sections of the Dedicated Freight Corridor to the nation through video conferencing from Ahmedabad on Tuesday.

(a) 401 Kilometre long Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor between New Khurja to Sahnewal section.

(b) The New Makarpura to New Gholvad section of Western Dedicated Freight Corridor.

1. Doordarshan National will now live telecast the daily Aarti from Shri Ramlala Temple in Ayodhya every day at 6:30 AM. Devotees will be able to take divine Darshan of Lord Shri Ramlala every day from now onwards.
