Woman or a bee?

Woman or a bee

“It’s hard to be a woman…
You must think like a man,
act like a lady,
look like a young girl,
and work like a horse.”

She juggles herself, her learnings, her job, her sports, her social life, her NGO, her family, her friends, her duties, her responsibilities, and her fun. Yes, she is a woman.

But the important question here is not to pause and admire in awe but rather reflect on why.
Why does she do that? Is it because of obligation or does she like to overrun herself?

Roles and responsibilities of women for centuries have been a source of conflict and plight. In the Early Vedic period, women enjoyed their life in terms of spirituality, religion, work force, family, love life, and political choices.

Today, again we are stuck in this vicious cycle of claiming fake equality, rising feminism, and special care for women. Maybe, we are heading in the wrong direction.

All this is a pity. And all these demands are pitiful. What we as people of the progressive nation need to understand is that women are one of the most powerful living creatures in this world.
And as crazy as it is to hope or want the ring finger and index finger to be of the same length, it is the same to demand equality for men and women.

Men and women are like yin and yang. They are juxtaposed and thus, they fit into each other’s daily life completely. Both genders have different attributes attached to themselves but be flexible. So, a human with transcendence quality does not suffer much.

But the bigger problem today, we as women are facing is that we are fighting for our rights. We should not fight, demand, or ask. If it is really our right then, we must presume.

Women belonging to lower economic zones are treated worse than the animals in the family.
The problem is not in the men or society. If change has to be brought, it has to be brought within the mindset of women.

They wander unaware of the potential and power within themselves. This is how the greatest of revolutions have been successful over the past centuries.

It all begins with a perspective and a will. Perspective to gain a positive attitude and will to rise again after the storm.
