1. India has expressed deep concern over the recent attacks and escalation of tensions in West Asia. The External Affairs Ministry said that these developments risk undermining regional peace, security and stability.
2. India is holding on to its crown as the world’s fastest-growing major economy with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) projecting it to grow at 7 per cent during the current calendar year. China, which is the second fastest-growing economy, was projected to grow by 4.6 per cent this year. The US ranked third with a projected growth of 2.3 per cent this year and 2.2 per cent next year.
3. India and Russia reaffirmed their commitment to strengthen counter terrorism cooperation at multilateral fora, including at the UN, BRICS, EAG and SCO. Ministry of External Affairs said that the 14th Meeting of India-Russia Joint Working Group on Counter Terrorism was held in New Delhi.
4. India and Maldives reaffirmed their commitment to expediting the signing of the Bilateral Investment Treaty and the proposed Free Trade Agreement. In a social media post, Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal said that he held discussions with the Maldives’ Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Mohamed Saeed, in New Delhi.
5. Prime Minister Narendra Modi today visited the UNESCO World Heritage site of Prambanan Temple in Yogyakarta along with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto. The two leaders toured the 9th-century temple complex, where Prime Minister Modi offered prayers at the main Shiva temple.

8. India and Indonesia have taken a significant step to deepen cooperation in higher education. PM Modi announced that the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore will establish its first overseas campus in Indonesia. The campus will be set up at the Singhasari Special Economic Zone in East Java and is expected to serve students and professionals from across the ASEAN region.

3. A Boeing 737 plane with five crew members has vanished after reporting a navigational system problem and losing contact with air traffic control on a flight to Pakistan. Early data indicated the 27-year-old converted freighter operated by K2 Airways had possibly crashed into the sea south-west of Karachi after a series of sharp altitude changes before a steep final descent.
