1. Australian High Commissioner to India Philip Green on Monday honoured international tunnelling expert Arnold Dix for the Uttarkashi rescue and called him the hero of Australia-India bilateral relations.

2. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Monday underscored the importance of building a comprehensive narrative for ‘Bharat’, asserting, “Bharat is a statement of independence.”In an address during the ‘Knowledge India Visitors Program’ organised by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR).

3. India got re-elected to the International Maritime Organisation’s (IMO) Council for the 2024-2025 biennium with the highest-ever votes in its favour at the 33rd assembly of IMO.

India was elected under the category of “the largest interest in international seaborne trade” along with Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

4. External Affairs Minister (EAM) S Jaishankar on Monday met US Principal Deputy National Security Advisor (NSA) Jon Finer, the two exchanged views on the global situation.

5. Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah will begin his official visit to India as part of a series of international tours aimed at showcasing Saudi Arabia’s unwavering commitment to serving Umrah performers and visitors.
