1. India has sent 2.5 tons of emergency medical supplies to Kabul to aid in the treatment of those injured in a Pakistani airstrike this week.
2. India’s weekly LPG imports fell to 265,000 tonnes in the week to March 19, from 322,000 tonnes on March 5. West Asia inflows declined to just 89,000 tonnes in the week to March 19, the lowest share since Jan 2026, according to S&P Commodities At Sea (CAS).
3. Cross-border trade between India and China through the Lipulekh Pass in Uttarakhand’s Pithoragarh district is set to resume in June, marking a revival of historic economic and cultural exchanges.

1. South Sudan has once again moved towards instability as fresh clashes between government forces and opposition groups intensify in Akobo. The violence has raised concerns of a relapse into full-scale civil war, threatening fragile peace efforts in the world’s youngest nation.
2. Iran has confirmed that the United States and Israel carried out a joint strike on its Natanz nuclear facility earlier. The Iranian Atomic Energy Organisation says the site was hit but that there has been no radioactive leakage.
3. The United States has eased sanctions on some Iranian oil, allowing limited sales of cargoes stranded at sea as it seeks to contain the war’s impact on global energy markets.
4. In South Korea, the death toll in a fire at an auto parts plant in central city of Daejeon has risen to 14, with 59 injured. President Lee Jae Myung inspected the site and reviewed relief efforts.
5. Britain has condemned Iran’s reckless attacks after its military fired missiles at a UK-US air base on the island of Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean.
