1. India Surpasses Japan as 3rd Largest Solar Power Generator in 2023. In 2015, India ranked ninth in solar energy deployment, but by 2023, it produced 5.8% of its electricity from solar, up from 0.5% in 2015. India’s ambitious national plan to combat climate change aims to achieve 50% cumulative electric power installed capacity from non-fossil fuel-based energy resources by 2030.
2. External Affairs Minister Dr.S Jaishankar meets Maldivian counterpart Moosa Zameer in New Delhi;
discussed all aspects of the India-Maldives bilateral relationship, regional and security issues in their meeting in New Delhi.

3. Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra is on a two-day official visit to Bangladesh.
4. European Union and India held their 14th Counter-Terrorism Dialogue on the 7th of this month in New Delhi. The External Affairs Ministry said that the dialogue was an opportunity to continue and enhance cooperation on this important element of the EU-India Strategic Partnership. The EU and India strongly condemned terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.

National Security Adviser (NSA) Ajit Doval met with his United Kingdom counterpart, Tim Barrow, on Thursday for the India-UK Strategic Dialogue.During this meeting, the two top sides held discussions on the “Technology and Security Initiative, which will be a major bilateral mechanism to strengthen cooperation in critical and emerging technologies between the two countries”,
