1. India has termed the UN Security Council resolution that demanded immediate ceasefire in Gaza for the month of Ramzan a “positive step,” asserting that the humanitarian crisis resulting from the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict is “simply unacceptable.
2. Pakistan dropped references to UN Security Council resolutions and third-party intervention while mentioning Kashmir in a joint statement after a bilateral meeting between Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman and PM Shehbaz Sharif in Mecca city of Saudi Arabia. Instead, the two sides called for a bilateral dialogue between India and Pakistan to address Jammu and Kashmir dispute.
