Irrespective of how powerful gurus or ashrams or practices you follow, there is no hope for you
as long as you are not willing to work on yourself and improve. The downfall is guaranteed. And
the work has to be done consistently and regularly without fail every day.
What Kind Of Work?
You need to reflect on yourself and your daily activities. Then objectivity analysis, of what you
thought, said, and did for the whole day were they kind, honest, and in alignment with your goal
and purpose, or did you manipulate others for your benefit?
No one of us is one hundred percent good or one hundred percent evil. Each one of us has both
the qualities of good and bad but those who work consistently on their bad habits and conduct,
become great men ahead.
Techniques That Will Help You In Becoming Your Better Self
The whole purpose of spirituality is to make you a better person or soul than yesterday and the
following are some tools that will accelerate the process:
Self- Reflection:
Be aware of your thoughts, words, and actions. Vigilantly observe if they are helping your
progress or sabotaging your growth. At the same time, never speak or think ill of others, for we
are no one to judge others. Our purpose is to make ourselves better not pull others down and by
any chance you engage in this battle then your downfall is accelerated.
Visualization:
Now that you are aware of your good and bad qualities, be proud of the good ones, and weed
out the negative ones. It is very simple. Just visualize the situation where you did not act how
you were supposed to and then visualize doing the right thing this time. You will be surprised to
know that the next time a similar circumstance happens in your life, you will act differently and
righteous. Such is the power of visualization.
Stay Silent:
This is the third technique and is equally powerful as the other two. Initially, when you
consciously try to practice silence, it may be difficult but with time, you can easily master it and
there will be a time when you will be able to hear the sound of creation within the self i.e. AUM.
Like Ravindra Nath Tagore did. He woke up every day in Brahmamuhurta and sat in meditation
from 3 am to 5 am immovable. He meditated on the inner sound, the sound of all creation, the
AUM.
FAQs
I Have Done Many Mistakes In Life. Is There Hope For Me As Well?
Yes, there is hope for all and a fair chance of transformation for all. Remember Ashoka the
Great, earlier he was also a slayer of thousands and hundreds of men and then, he made a
choice and walked in the path of Dhamma. So, no matter what crime you did or how many
mistakes you made, there is hope for all.
