Ten days into its release, Abundantia Entertainment’s latest release, Maa Behen, has given the team of the film every reason to celebrate. And on Sunday night, they did exactly that. After debuting at #2 on Netflix’s Global Top 10 Non-English Films, Producer Vikram Malhotra, Director Suresh Triveni, the Netflix leadership team, led by Monika Shergill, and the cast raised a toast to the success of the film, at an evening that doubled as both a celebration and a statement. The Suresh Triveni directorial, which has been widely praised for its performances and its refreshingly unconventional storytelling, has emerged as yet another standout release for Abundantia this year, close on the heels of Daldal and Subedaar, and the energy in the room reflected exactly that.
In what was a cheerful and celebratory get-together, Madhuri Dixit, Triptii Dimri and Dharna Durga led the evening’s celebrations along with producer Vikram Malhotra and director Suresh Triveni and the Netflix leadership team, led by Monika Shergill.
For Abundantia Entertainment, the night was as much about gratitude as it was about celebration. Maa Behen marks another addition to content that already includes Daldal and Subedaar, all part of what has been one of Abundantia’s strongest years yet. As the celebrations for Maa Behen continue, Abundantia Entertainment shows no signs of slowing down. The studio’s upcoming slate includes Chiranjeevi Hanuman – The Eternal, an innovative project that further signals the studio’s intent to push the boundaries of Indian storytelling, Family Business, the highly anticipated Netflix series featuring an ensemble cast led by Anil Kapoor and Vijay Varma and the Amazon Original romantic thriller Sundar Poonam starring Sanya Malhotra.
