A few days back, actress Tanishaa Mukerji dropped a promo of her new song ’Om Nama Shivay’ with Shreyas Talpade. Going by the promo and the feel of it, it was understandable that it is all set to be a fitting tribute to the almighty Mahadev on the final Monday of Shravan month. No wonder, the excitement of Tanishaa’s fans and all Shiv bhakts were at its peak. Today, when the song was finally released, the duo took the internet by storm in no time. Within moments of the song releasing, it grabbed the attention of the audience and its soothing vibe served as the perfect source of happiness to the ears on the final Monday of Shravan month.

Tanishaa plays the role of a beautiful and doting wife and mother in the song. To pull off her look for the same, the actress opted for a complete de-glam look to get into the character of a desi lady who’s on her path towards spirituality. The song begins with a beautiful shot of Shivling and it’s wonderful to see how a family chants Lord Shiva’s name as they proceed towards their spiritual journey. Regarding the song, Tanishaa says,

“Bholenath is indeed the supreme and the almighty. The auspicious month of Shravan is about to end and we thought this would be an ideal track for all Shiv Bhakts around this time and that’s why the final Monday of Shravan month was picked for the release of the song. As seen in the music video, my character and everything from how I dress to how I look is quite different from what I am in real life. I am glad all those efforts to look a certain way resonated well with the audience and most importantly, people are liking the song. There’s such a soothing vibe attached to the track and it has the power to make you feel calm and peaceful in no time. I am so glad to be a part of a song like this where I too could showcase my love for Bholenath on-screen. I am a Shiv bhakt in reality too and that’s why, it’s all the way more special for me. Har Har Mahadev.”
