Style Decoded: Hadelin de Ponteves

Hadelin de Ponteves 1

How do you define style?

I define style as a way to express ourselves, with special features that make us unique. Those features can as well be our clothes or hairstyle, as our body language and the way of communicating with our voice.

Which kind of outfit do you love the most?

When chilling with my friends I like keeping it simple, with some black or blue ripped jeans, and a white or black t-shirt that fits well my body. When I go out at night to a nice bar or an event I like dressing up fancy, with nice black leather shoes, a dark blue shirt and a jacket. My favourite type of jackets/costumes are the Italian ones. And finally for very special events like galas I like wearing a nice Italian tuxedo. For example that’s what I’ll be wearing for the premiere of my movie.

Who is your style/fashion icon?

Marlon Brando in his young years.

What is that one fashion/style accessory you cannot leave home without?

My black t-shirts, my watch, and my pair of Persol 29/31 sunglasses.

Which celebrity do you admire the most for their style quotient and why?

Tom Cruise, for always looking so nice and neat, whether in his movies or reality. I like the different hairstyles he had over his MI series, as well as the very cool different outfits he wore on his motorcycles.

Which is your favourite perfume?

I have three Chanel male perfumes: Allure Homme Sport, Bleu, and Platinum Égoïste. In terms of scent, my favorite would be the latter.

A fashion/style taboo that you strongly condemn.

Any fashion outfit that expresses racist or disrespectful language.
