🇮🇳 FACTS ABOUT BHARAT 🇮🇳

 The name ‘Aham’ or ‘Asom’ was probably given by the Ahoms who came to Assam in 1228 A.D.

The Ahom dynasty was established by Sukaphaa, a Shan prince of Mong Mao who came to Assam after crossing the Patkai Mountains. 
 
In the ancient Sanskrit literature both the names ‘Pragjyotisha’ and ‘Kamrupa’ were used as designation for ancient Assam. Its antiquity can be established from the fact that it has been mentioned in the two great epics- The Mahabharata and the Ramayana and also in the Puranas.

Why lotus flower is given Important in Sanathan Dharma ? 

The lotus represents purity of the body, speech and mind, as if floating above the murky waters of material attachment and physical desire.

Different types of lotus flowers and their meaning:

WHITE lotus flower is associated with purity a nd Knowledge.

PINK lotus : Associated with inviting feminine energy.

RED Colour: symbolize inspiration, passion, Energy and expression.

Lotus is a symbol of purity with roots in the mud, the flower remains in the dirty water.
 
Live like the lotus, be in the world but unaffected by the negativity.

अकर्तव्यं न कर्तव्यं प्राणैः कण्ठगतैरपि । 
akartavyaṃ na kartavyaṃ prāṇaiḥ kaṇṭhagatairapi । 
kartavyamēva kartavyaṃ prāṇaiḥ kaṇṭhagatairapi ॥
Meaning : Whatever is not right to be done, must never be done even on pain of death; and what is right to do, must be done even if one should die for the same.

भावार्थ : जो कार्य निषिद्ध है, उसे प्राण कण्ठगत (मृत्यु संकट उपस्थित होने की स्थिति) पर भी नहीं करना चाहिये। जो कर्तव्य है, उसे अपने प्राण की परवाह न करते हुये भी अवश्य करना चाहिये
