Kallanai Dam is the oldest dam in India. Fourth oldest dam in the world. Built across Kaveri River in south Indian state of Tamil Nadu.

Shukra is the name of a son of Bhrigu, of the third Manu, one of the saptarishis. He was the guru of Daityas / Asuras, and is also referred to as Shukracharya or Asuracharya in various Hindu texts.
Jayanti, is the daughter of Indra, the king of the devas and ruler of Heaven, and his consort Shachi. Jayanti is described as the wife of Shukra, the god of the planet Venus and the guru of the asuras. Their union results in the birth of a daughter, Devayani.

Sita Navami, also known as ‘Sita Jayanti’. This day celebrates the birth day of Devi Sita and is observed on the ‘Shukla Paksha’ (the waxing phase of moon) ‘Navami’ (9th day) tithi in the lunar month of ‘Vaishaka’ as per the Hindu calendar. It is believed that Devi Sita was born during Pushya Nakshatra. As per the legends, Lord Rama was also born on the same tithi in the ‘Chaitra’ month and the celebrations of Rama Navami take place a month in advance of Sita Navami.
