1. Enforcement Directorate (ED) has conducted search operations at various locations in Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata and Delhi as part of an ongoing probe in the case of illegal Online Forex Trading through International Brokers namely OctaFx Trading App and its website.

2. A special court in Mumbai on Saturday allowed Bharatiya Janata Party MP Pragya Thakur’s plea for exemption from personal appearance in the Malegaon blast case on medical grounds but said “necessary order” will be passed if she fails to appear before it on 25 April.

3. In Karnataka, Neha (23), the daughter of Congress Councillor of Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation Niranjan Hiremath, was stabbed to death on the campus of BVB College on Thursday. The accused Fayaz Khondunaik, who fled the scene, was arrested by police subsequently. Neha was a first-year MCA student and Fayaz was her former classmate.

Seven killed as boat capsizes in Odisha’s Mahanadi River : President Droupadi Murmu and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar have expressed grief over the loss of lives after a boat capsized in the Mahanadi river in Odisha’s Jharsuguda district. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has announced an ex-gratia amount of ₹4 lakh for the next of kin of the deceased.

1. Veteran actor Mukesh Khanna (Shaktimaan actor) expressed strong disapproval towards actor Zeenat Aman’s suggestion that couples should engage in a live-in relationship before marriage. Speaking to Dainik Jagran, he firmly stated that he finds it ‘unacceptable’ to endorse such a ‘Western’ concept. Earlier, Saira Banu and Mumtaz also criticised Zeenat Aman’s stance on live-in relationships.

2. Actor Pankaj Tripathi’s sister Sarita Tiwari and brother-in-law Rajesh Tiwari met a tragic road accident on Saturday late evening, according to the reports. The reports added that Pankaj Tripathi’s brother-in-law Rajesh Tiwari died on the spot, while his sister Sarita received serious injuries.

The reports added that Rajesh Tiwari and Sarita Tiwari were heading to Chittaranjan in West Bengal from Bihar’s Gopalganj when their high-speed car (WB44D-2899) rammed into a road divider.

1. National Cadet Corps (NCC) director general (DG) Lt Gen Gurbirpal Singh visited the joint directorate of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh (PHHP&C) to discuss a road map for NCC’s expansion.

5. The steel-cutting ceremony of a third cadet-training ship was held at a shipyard in Tamil Nadu’s Kattupalli on Saturday. The ceremony was presided by Defence Secretary Giridhar Aramane.

DRDO’s Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA) has handed over the first batch of the indigenous Leading Edge Actuators and Airbrake Control Module to Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), marking a significant leap towards self-reliance in aeronautical technologies. The HAL, Lucknow has already made preparations for the production of these units for the current 83 TEJAS MK-1A order.
