1. India will remain Colombo’s most reliable friend and dependable partner as it underlined that Bharat was willing to offer modern defence equipment to friendly partner countries like Sri Lanka. India’s High Commissioner to Sri Lanka, Santosh Jha, said. He was addressing the Second India-Sri Lanka Defence Seminar.

4. About 18,000 Indians working in Israel, mostly as caregivers: More than 6,000 Indian workers will arrive in Israel during April and May 2024 to help the country’s construction sector. The workers from India are being brought to Israel under a government-to-government (G2G) agreement between to the countries.
Israel and India also inked an agreement in May last year during then Foreign Minister Eli Cohen’s visit to Delhi to allow 42,000 Indians to work in the Jewish state in fields of construction and nursing.
5. The second edition of India-Belgium Foreign Office Consultations (FoC) was held on April 10 in the national capital and both sides undertook a comprehensive review of the multifaceted relations between the two countries.
The meeting was co-chaired by Pavan Kapoor, Secretary (West), Ministry of External Affairs and Theodora Gentzis, President of the Board, Belgian Federal Public Service Foreign Affairs.
6. India-Kazakhstan to Enhance Counter-Terror Cooperation in Response to Moscow Attacks. Against the backdrop of the recent terrorist attack in Moscow, India and Kazakhstan convened in Astana to bolster their counter-terrorism collaboration.
7. In an apparent bid to woo Indian tourists back to the Maldives, a major tourism body here has announced that it will hold road shows across key Indian cities. As the number of Indian tourists to the Maldives continues to decline.

1. Russia on Thursday test-launched its Angara-A5 space rocket for the first time from the Vostochny Cosmodrome in the Far East, successfully putting a test load in low orbit as part of an effort to develop a new post-Soviet launch vehicle.
2. NASA Administrator Bill Nelson and Japan’s Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) Masahito Moriyama have signed an agreement to advance sustainable human exploration of the Moon.Japan will design, develop, and operate a pressurized rover for crewed and uncrewed exploration on the Moon.
3. Switzerland will host a high-level international conference in the month of June with more than 100 countries invited to help chart a path towards peace in Ukraine after more than two years of war.
4. The Islamabad chapter of the Baloch Students Council (BSCI) has penned an open letter demanding the release of two Baloch students Feroz Baloch and Ahmed Khan belonging to the PMAS-Arid Agriculture University at Rawalpindi, Pakistan whom it claimed were being held “in secret torture cells.
5. Pakistan has decided to formally approach the global lender, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for the medium-term Extended Fund Facility (EFF) during the upcoming annual spring meetings of the Bretton Wood Institutions (BWIs).
