1. PM Modi held a conversation with his British counterpart Rishi Sunak and discussed the early conclusion of the Free Trade Agreement between India and the United Kingdom.The two leaders also affirmed their commitment to further bolster the bilateral Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two nations.
2. India on Monday sent out a strong rebuttal to China for the latter’s comments on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Arunachal Pradesh stating that the north-eastern State will always be “an integral and inalienable part of India”.
In a statement, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) today asserted that China’s objection to visits by Indian leaders or India’s developmental projects “does not stand to reason”.
3. China said on Tuesday that it supports the Maldives in safeguarding its sovereignty, as the first batch of Indian military personnel operating a helicopter left the island nation and was replaced by a civilian crew.
4. President Smt. Droupadi Murmu participated as the Chief Guest at the 56th Mauritius Independence Day celebrations and appreciated the growing ties between the two countries.

President Droupadi Murmu held a “tete-a-tete” meeting with Mauritius Prime Minister Pravind Kumar Jagnauth on Monday to discuss ways to further strengthen India-Mauritius bilateral relations.President Murmu also presented a RuPay card to Mauritius PM as a special gesture. RuPay card services were launched in Mauritius on February 12 this year.

External Affairs Minister, S Jaishankar, on Tuesday warmly welcomed and bid farewell to the outgoing UK High Commissioner, Alex Ellis, while thanking him for strengthening bilateral relationship with India.EAM Jaishankar expressed his gratitude for the dedicated service and contributions made by the outgoing UK High Commissioner during his tenure in India.
7. External Foreign Minister S Jaishankar on Tuesday held discussions with Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sergei Aleinik on bilateral ties including development partnership in the field of defence.The meeting, held in New Delhi.
8. Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced that semiconductor manufacturing equipment to be made in India soon. Speaking at the inauguration of Applied Materials’ India Validation Centre in Bangalore.

1. The Baloch National Movement (BNM) highlighted the issue of human rights violations by Pakistan in Baluchistan and demanded urgent action on the situation while seeking support from the international community.Baloch people have been facing human rights violations since 1948.
2. Israel’s Foreign Minister, Israel Katz, sent a letter of rebuke to UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres over his response to the atrocities committed by the Hamas terrorist group during the massacre of October 7, 2023.”Your response to the atrocities committed by Hamas terrorists is unacceptable,” wrote Katz.
3. Amid the economic crisis, Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif vowed to get his country out of foreign debt, declaring that the country would get rid of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
PM Shehbaz’s declaration comes as the IMF prepares to dispatch its mission to Pakistan for talks on the second review of the USD 3 billion Stand-by Arrangement (SBA) program.
4. Russia said one of its Ilyushin Il-76 military cargo planes crashed shortly after takeoff on Tuesday with 15 people on board due to a fire in one of its engines.
5. At the 14th National People’s Congress, China announced its defence budget for 2024 and interestingly maintained the growth rate of its military expenditure at precisely the same percentage as last year.
