PAKISTAN ACCUSES INDIAN AGENTS OF ORCHESTRATING THE KILLING OF 2 TERRORISTS ON ITS SOIL: Pakistan on Thursday accused neighbouring India’s intelligence agency of involvement in the extrajudicial killings of its citizens, saying it had credible evidence linking two Indian agents to the deaths of two Pakistanis in Pakistan last year.
6. The Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Taiwanese technology giant Hon Hai Technology Group (Foxconn), Young Liu, was honoured with the Padma Bhushan on Thursday.Foxconn is the world’s largest electronics manufacturer and a leading global science and technology solutions provider.
7. United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Friday extended Republic Day wishes to India and said that the Constitution of India continues to provide an enduring framework for the world’s largest democracy and a foundation of its global leadership.

1. The US has temporarily paused additional funding for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in light of recent allegations that the agency’s employees may have been involved in the 7 October Hamas attack on Israel.
2. Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday (Jan 26) said it was “obvious” that the Russian IL-76 military transport plane, which was carrying Ukrainian prisoners of war, was shot down by Ukraine over the border region of Belgorod this week.It claimed that there were 65 Ukrainian prisoners of war present inside the aircraft.
3. Britain’s King Charles III was admitted to a London hospital on Friday morning (Jan 26) for an enlarged prostate. Charles, 75, was at The London Clinic with Queen Camilla by his side.
4. US State Of Alabama Executes Inmate Kenneth Smith In First-Ever Use Of Nitrogen Gas on Thursday, marking the nation’s first known execution using that method. Now the state’s attorney general wants to help other states interested in using the new form of capital punishment.
Smith was convicted of the March 18, 1988, murder-for-hire of Elizabeth Sennett in Colbert County, Alabama. Charles Sennett Sr., Elizabeth’s husband, recruited Billy Gray Williams to murder his wife. Williams in turn recruited Smith and John Forrest Parker to assist in the murder.
5. NATO has signed a €1.1 billion contract to procure hundreds of thousands of 155mm artillery rounds, part of which will go to Ukraine as it faces critical ammunition shortages. Ukrainian officials have warned shell supplies are a pressing challenge for its troops after nearly two years of war with Russia.
