1.  *The Karnataka government has extended lockdown in the state till 6 am on the 7th of June.* Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa said the decision was taken at a high-level meeting with senior officials and ministers. The existing lockdown was to end on the 24th of May. The Karnataka Chief Minister also said the state government has decided to give free treatment for Mucormycosis patients in the government district hospitals.
2.  *The Tamil Nadu government on Saturday announced extending the ongoing covid-induced lockdown, slated to end on May 24, by another week.*

2.  *A shipment of 1.2 metric tonne of fresh jackfruit was exported from Tripura to London yesterday.* Jackfruits were sourced from the Tripura based Krishi Sanyoga Agro Producer Company Ltd.
3. US Envoy Daniel B Smith and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal held discussions through video-conferencing on how Delhi and the US can work together to address the COVID-19 pandemic. Both the leaders prayed for the safety of the people in both nations.

1.  *UN announces release of 22.5 M US Dollars for rising humanitarian needs in Gaza* : The amount includes a 4.5 million Dollars’ allocation from the Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF) and up to 18 million Dollars from the Occupied Palestinian Territory Humanitarian Fund.
2. US President Joe Biden has pledged to help organize efforts to rebuild Gaza and said creating a Palestinian state alongside Israel is the only answer to the conflict. Mr. Biden also said he had told the Israelis to stop intercommunal fighting in the flashpoint city of Jerusalem.
