first national training conclave to strengthen civil services training infrastructure

1. First National Training Conclave, To Strengthen Civil Services Training Infrastructure, Inaugurated By PM Modi. PM Modi has said that it is the responsibility of all government servants to increase faith of people in the government system. The conclave was hosted by the Capacity Building Commission. Its primary objective was to foster collaboration among civil services training institutes and strengthen the training infrastructure for civil servants across the country.

2. Annual pilgrimage of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra scheduled to commence from 1st July this year, a Joint Security Conference of Security Forces and Civil Administration Officers was held in Budgam.

3. Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare Mansukh Mandaviya reviewed the performance of AIIMS Hospital at Rajkot, which is the dream project of PM Modi.

4. Pawan Goenka, Chairman of Space Department’s INSPACe, said a new foreign direct investment (FDI) policy for space startups will be unveiled soon.

5. The Railway Board has ordered a double-locking arrangement for all relay rooms with train controlling mechanisms and relay huts housing signalling and telecommunications equipment. This comes after the accident involving three trains in Odisha that killed over 280 people.

6. Mumbai saw its highest day temperature ever recorded in the month of June by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) as it witnessed 38.5°C on Saturday. The previous high was 38°C, which was recorded on June 11, 2014.

6. Cyclone “Biparjoy” intensified into an “extremely severe cyclonic storm” on Sunday morning and is likely to make landfall between Kutch district of Gujarat and Karachi in Pakistan on June 15, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.

7. The Telangana state government has directed the finance department to mobilise 7,500 crores, and sources indicated that the money will be disbursed to farmers as Rythu Bandhu support for the ongoing kharif season. The funds are likely to be disbursed after June 20.

8. WRESTLERS JOIN FARMERS’ PROTEST AGAINST POWER UTILITY IN PATIALA: Wrestler Vinesh Phogat, who is part of the protest in Delhi on wrestlers’ allegations of sexual harassment against Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) president and BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, today joined agitating farmers sitting on fast and dharna in Patiala.

9. National Mission for Mentoring (NMM) aims to establish a substantial group of highly skilled experts who are willing to provide guidance and support to school teachers.

On 29th July 2022, the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) initiated the NMM in a pilot phase, implementing it in a selected group of 30 Central Schools nationwide, including 15 Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs), 10 Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs), and 5 CBSE schools.

10. The national capital Delhi on Sunday witnessed a partly cloudy sky as the maximum temperature settled a notch below the season’s average at 38.5 degrees Celsius.

11. An IndiGo Airlines flight from Amritsar to Ahmedabad strayed into Pakistan near Lahore due to bad weather and went up to Gujranwala before heading back to Indian airspace without any mishap.

12. NHAI BEGINS CLOSING ILLEGAL EXITS NEAR GURUGRAM HIGHWAY: Illegal entry and exit points on the Delhi-Jaipur Expressway have been causing over 50 per cent of accidents on the highway. The state has now initiated a drive to close these illegal exits.

1. Several people sustained injuries after being trampled by bulls during the Kari (bull-taming) festival in Karnataka’s Vijayapura district on Sunday.

2. Gujarat Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) on Saturday is said to have busted an ISIS module and arrested three men and a woman, in operations carried out in Porbandar and Surat.

3. Vanshika Chopra, a 24-year-old model, died on Sunday after a lighting truss allegedly collapsed during a fashion show at a studio in Noida’s Film City. Another participant of the fashion show, a resident of Agra, was injured in the accident.

4. A 40-foot-tall statue depicting an Indian hockey player erected in Odisha’s Rourkela ahead of Men’s FIH Hockey World Cup 2023 collapsed due to a thunderstorm on Sunday. Both legs of the statue, built at a cost of ₹30.68 lakh, broke due to strong winds and it fell sideways, CM Naveen Patnaik had unveiled the statue earlier this year.

5. A major train accident was averted in Chhattisgarh after a passenger train and goods train arrived on the same railway track under the South East Central Railway zone in Bilaspur. A collision between the two trains was avoided as they reportedly stopped at a distance from each other.

1. Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) CAG Girish Chandra Murmu hosting a three-day SAI20 Summit under India’s G20 Presidency in Goa from 12 June. 3. United Arab Emirates (UAE) became India’s fourth largest investor in FY23 with foreign direct investment (FDI) of $3.35 billion, as per government data. The investment inflow from UAE to India increased three-fold from $1.03 billion in FY22. Singapore was India’s largest investor in FY23 with a $17.2 billion investment, followed by Mauritius and the US.

4. Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) will hold roadshows in Hong Kong and the UK this month. The company’s top management will reportedly interact with global investors and urge them to invest in LIC scrips during the roadshows.

5. Punjab Govt. announced an increase in the value added tax (VAT) on retail fuel, leading to an increase in the petrol price by 92 paise per litre and the diesel price by 88 paise for retail consumers.
