2. Malaysia Masters: HS Prannoy beats China’s Weng Hong Yang to clinch title
India’s ace shuttler HS Prannoy has clinched the Malaysia Masters badminton title. He defeated Weng Hong Yang of China 21-19, 13-21, 21-18 in men’s singles final in Kuala Lumpur.
3. Milan beat Juventus 1-0 to secure spot in UEFA Champions League. Olivier Giroud’s goal late in the first half was enough for Milan to secure a spot in the top four in Serie A as it left the Rossoneri six points above fifth-place Atalanta with just one match remaining.

4. Premier League – Everton staged another last-day escape in the Premier League to extend its 69-year stay in England’s top division as Leicester and Leeds were relegated on Sunday. Abdoulaye Doucouré smashed home a 57th-minute goal to earn Everton a 1-0 win over Bournemouth that was enough to keep the team two points above Leicester, whose 2-1 victory against West Ham was in vain. Leicester is relegated seven years after winning the Premier League at preseason odds of 5,000-1 in one of sport’s great underdog stories.
Leeds lost 4-1 to Tottenham and also went down after three years in the league.
5. Max Verstappen wins Monaco GP to extend F1 championship lead; Fernando Alonso 2nd ahead of Esteban Ocon. Formula One champion Max Verstappen’s lights-to-flag victory at the Monaco Grand gave the Red Bull driver his fourth victory of the season and extended his championship lead to 39 points over teammate Sergio Perez on Sunday.
