(a) Qualifier 2: Shubman Gill Shines With Third Century As GT Beat MI By 62 Runs, Set To Face CSK In Final. Gujarat Titans on Friday outplayed Mumbai Indians by 62 runs in the Qualifier 2 of IPL 2023 to set up final clash with Chennai Super Kings. Mohit Sharma registered a five-wicket haul as GT bundled out MI for 171 runs in latter’s chase of 234. Earlier, Shubman Gill scored 129 runs off 60 balls as GT posted 233 for 3 in 20 overs. Piyush Chawla removed Wriddhiman Saha when GT’s score was 54. After that Gill and Sai Sudharsan stitched 138 runs for the second wicket to keep their team in the driving seat.

(b) Gujarat Titans (GT) today smashed the highest-ever total in history of IPL playoffs. GT put up a total of 233/3 against Mumbai Indians (MI) in IPL 2023 Qualifier 2 to set the record.
(c) GT batter Sai Sudharsan has become the first cricketer to be retired out in an IPL playoff match. Sudharsan was called back after 19th over. He had scored 43 runs off 31 deliveries, including five fours and a six.
(d) GT opener Shubman Gill celebrated his third hundred in IPL 2023 by kissing his bat during the Qualifier 2 against MI.

3. British Cycling has banned transgender women from competing in female events. As per new policy, the events will have two categories, ‘open’ and ‘female’. Transgender women and men, non-binary individuals, and those assigned male gender at birth will compete in ‘open’ category. The ‘female’ category will be reserved for females by birth and transgender men who didn’t undergo hormone therapy.
