1. PM Modi and King of Bhutan Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck held a bilateral meeting in New Delhi on Tuesday. During the meeting, both the sides reviewed the entire gamut of bilateral cooperation to further boost their relationship
2. India has outrightly rejected China’s attempt to rename places of Arunachal Pradesh, Ministry of External Affairs official spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said on Tuesday. He asserted that Arunachal Pradesh will always be an integral part of India.
3. India on Tuesday slammed the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) for its ‘communal mindset’ and ‘anti-India’ agenda.
India’s strong reaction came after the OIC secretariat issued a statement alleging targeting of the Muslim community in several states in India during Ram Navami processions. External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi condemned the statement issued by the OIC.

3. DONALD TRUMP ARRAIGNED BY COURT, PLEADS NOT GUILTY: Former United States President Donald Trump on Tuesday pleaded not guilty to 34 felony counts of falsifying business records in a Manhattan court during his arraignment on history-making criminal charges related to paying hush money to a porn star before the 2016 presidential election in exchange for her silence.
Trump has become the first former US president to face criminal charges.
4. Finland joined the NATO and become the 31st member of the military alliance on Tuesday.
5. The existing fuel quotas for vehicles have been increased for the New Year festive season in Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka’s power minister Kanchana Wijesekara tweeted.
The proposal has been made to increase three-wheel quotas from 5L to 8L, motorcycles from 4L to 7L, busses from 40L to 60L, cars from 20L to 30L, land vehicles from 15L to 25L, lorries from 50L to 75L, quadric cycle from 4L to 6L, special purpose vehicles from 20L to 30L and vans from 20L to 30L.
6. In a startling move, the Italian government has announced that it plans to ban the English language and impose heavy fines on individuals and organizations that continue to use it. The announcement comes just weeks after the ban on ChatGPT, a language model developed by OpenAI.
7. Japan departure form aid rules: To fund defence projects of friendly nations. Japan on Wednesday said it plans to offer friendly nations financial assistance to help them bolster their defences, marking Tokyo’s first unambiguous departure from rules that forbid using international aid for military purposes.
