Over three days of practice and a national tournament, khelne chalogi? follows Shivangi, Bushra, and Laika, three girls from Mumbra navigating quiet, everyday restrictions who have travelled to play in the first Savitri Fatima National Football Tournament in Bengaluru. Balancing studies, chores, and expectations, they carve out time and space to play football… an act both ordinary and radical.
The girls are guided by their coaches – Shabnam and Aarti – who once walked the same path. Together, they find friendship, vulnerability, and a growing sense of self. In the spectacle of claiming public space, the girls simply showing up becomes its own kind of victory.
