1. In Men’s Cricket, Indian bowlers restricted Hosts Sri Lanka at 284 in their first innings, taking a lead of 178 runs at Stumps on Day 3 of the first Test in Galle.
Manav Suthar led the wickets column for India with four scalps, while Ravindra Jadeja picked up three. Jadeja became only the fourth player in Test cricket history to reach the milestone of 350 wickets and 4,000 runs. He is also the first Indian left arm bowler to achieve the haul.
2. At the BWF World Championships in New Delhi, India’s PV Sindhu and Ayush Shetty have advanced to the second round of their respective Singles’ events. Women’s Doubles pair of India’s Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand and Men’s Doubles duo of M R Arjun and Hariharan Amsakarunan have also cruise to the next round.
3. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated the Asian Open Short Track Speed Skating Trophy 2026 in Dehradun yesterday. The competition will continue till Thursday. A total of 272 players from 14 Asian countries are participating in the event, including 130 Indian players.
