Indian weightlifter Lovepreet Singh won the silver medal in the men’s +110kg category at the Commonwealth Games after a record-breaking snatch lift.
The 28-year-old upgraded the bronze medal he won at the Birmingham Games in 2022 to silver, earning India’s sixth silver medal in weightlifting and helping the contingent sign off with eight medals overall.
The 28-year-old totalled 388kg (176kg in snatch and 212kg in clean and jerk), was pipped by Liti, who clinched gold with 389kg (166kg+223kg) after a Games record lift in clean and jerk.
