1. The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has directed all recognised National Sports Federations (NSFs) to publish the Olympic qualification and selection pathway, including the criteria and process to be adopted for the selection of athletes for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
2. In Wimbledon Tennis, Karolína Muchová of Czech Republic has reached Women’s Singles final. 10th seed Muchová defeated 7th seed American player Coco Gauff 6-2, 1-6, 7-6 in the first semi final of Women’s Singles.
3. India’s Arnav Paparkar created history by becoming the first Indian in 36 years to reach the boys’ singles quarter-finals at the Wimbledon Juniors 2026. The 18-year-old Paparkar defeated Japan’s Ryo Tabata 6-2, 6-1 in just 52 minutes in the prequarter-finals.
4. The Indian Pickleball Association has announced the Indian contingent for the Pickleball World Cup 2026 after a highly competitive selection process to represent the nation in Pro category at the Pickleball World Cup 2026, which will be held at Da Nang, Vietnam, from August 30 to September 6.
