1. Armenia is in advanced cost negotiations with India for the acquisition of the indigenous (‘Apocalypse’ in English) cannisterised surface-to-surface, short-range, tactical ballistic missile, a move that would significantly expand bilateral defence ties and mark one of India’s most high-end missile export breakthroughs.
2. Pakistan Navy and the Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA) provided emergency assistance to the Indian vessel MV Gautam after a distress call from Mumbai, rescuing six Indian crew members and one Indonesian national in the Arabian Sea.
The incident occurred when MV Gautam, an offshore tug and supply vessel en route from Oman to India, suffered a technical fault mid-voyage. The Maritime Rescue and Coordination Centre in Mumbai immediately contacted Pakistani authorities, requesting urgent help.
3. Indian journalists R K Anand and Suparna Sharma have been awarded the Pulitzer Prize 2026 in the category of Illustrated Reporting and Commentary.
They have shared the award with Natalie Obiko Pearson for their collaborative work which was published in Bloomberg.
4. India has finally broken a two‑decade deadlock in aerial refuelling procurement by approving the conversion of six pre‑owned Boeing 767s into Multi‑Mission Tanker Transports (MMTTs, valued at $900m–$1.1bn), in partnership with Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) and Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL).
