1. LPG carrier vessel Shivalik carrying 46,000 metric tonnes of Liquefied Gas (LPG) from Qatar reached Mundra Port in Gujarat. Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas Sujata Sharma informed that Crude oil is available in sufficient quantity and all refineries are operating at their highest capacity across the country.
2. Indian Embassy in Iran has strictly advised Indian nationals currently in Iran not to approach or attempt to cross any land border of Iran for onwards travel without prior and explicit coordination with the Indian Embassy in Tehran.
3. Amid the temporary suspension of flight operations at Dubai International Airport, Air India and Air India Express flights to and from Dubai have been cancelled for the day.
4. The World Bank has approved a loan of about USD 300 million to support Uttar Pradesh’s efforts to improve air quality through a comprehensive clean air transition programme. The funding will support the Uttar Pradesh Clean Air Management Program, which aims to address pollution across sectors such as transport, agriculture, and industry.
5. India hosted the BIMSTEC Young Professionals Exchange Programme in Maharashtra from the 9th to the 15th of this month. The programme was aimed at promoting knowledge exchange, strengthening cooperation, and providing exposure to India’s rapidly growing innovation, start-up, knowledge, research and technology ecosystems.
6. Bangladesh is set to import an additional 45,000 tons of diesel from India by April, marking a significant resumption in bilateral energy trade amid regional challenges.
