1. India will take on USA in the opening match of the U19 Mens Cricket World Cup 2026. The tournament will be played from 15th January to 6th February of the next year in Zimbabwe and Namibia. The event features 16 teams across four groups and 41 matches.
2. In Cricket, India A has entered the semi-finals of the Rising Stars Asia Cup tournament with a six-wicket win over Oman in their final Group B match in Doha, Qatar. After deciding to field first, the Indian cricket team restricted Oman to 135 for 7 in 20 overs. India scored 138 for 4 in 17.5.
3. Indian shooters continued their impressive performance, securing more medals at the 25th Deaflympics in Tokyo, Japan yesterday. The duo of Abhinav Deshwal and Pranjali Prashant Dhumal clinched gold in the 10m Air Pistol mixed event by defeating Ya-Ju Kao and Ming-Jui Hsu of Chinese Taipei, 16-6 in the final. Meanwhile, Kushagra Singh Rajawat won bronze in the 50 metre Rifle Prone competition. With the win, India’s medal tally in shooting has climbed to 11 so far.
