1. The Supreme Court Monday dismissed a petition filed by actor Jacqueline Fernandez, which challenged the Delhi High Court’s refusal to quash money laundering proceedings against her by the Directorate of Enforcement.
2. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Tuesday (September 23, 2025) conducted searches in Jharkhand and Delhi as part of a money laundering investigation linked to an alleged land scam case.
3. The ED has attached assets worth Rs 307 crore, including Dubai properties and Indian bank deposits, in connection with the Fairplay online betting case. This action follows an FIR filed by Viacom18 Media, alleging significant revenue loss due to IT and Copyright Act violations.
4. Former Indian cricketer Robin Uthappa appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Monday (September 22, 2025) for questioning in a money-laundering case linked to an online betting app,” officials said.
The ED questioned him and record his statement under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act in a case linked to a platform named 1xBet.

1. The National Film Awards celebrated creators across the Indian film industry, and the 71st National Film Awards ceremony is happend on 23 September 2025 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. It’s a major event to celebrate the best works of Indian cinema. At this ceremony, President Droupadi Murmu presented the awards for the winners of the 71st National Film Awards.
2. The Malayalam film industry is celebrating after veteran actor Mohanlal was named the recipient of the 2023 Dadasaheb Phalke Award, India’s highest honor in cinema. The recognition makes Mohanlal only the second Malayalee to receive the award, after filmmaker Adoor Gopalakrishnan in 2004.
3. The trailer for “Kantara: Chapter 1,” a prequel to the 2022 film, the latest film by Rishab Shetty, has finally been released, sending fans into a frenzy. Scheduled for release in Theaters on October 2, 2025, the film promises to build on the success of the original Kantara movie.
4. Mahavatar Narsimha shattered all the box office records in the category, grossing over Rs. 300 crores globally. Directed by Ashwin Kumar, Mahavatar Narsimha is the first installment in the planned seven-part Mahavatar Cinematic Universe, based on the ten avatars of Lord Vishnu. 1. Russia will complete the delivery of the S-400 air defence systems to India in 2026, bringing to an end a landmark defence deal signed in 2018 worth USD 5.43 billion (approximately ₹40,000 crore). Four of the five S-400 Triumf systems have already been handed over to the Indian military.
2. The 13th production TEJAS MK-1A aircraft, registered as LA-5045, has successfully completed its maiden flight. This marks an important milestone in sustaining the rollout of India’s indigenous fighter program, even as the production ecosystem navigates temporary constraints. The flight was powered by Category-B GE F-404 engines, specially designated as a limited-life contingency measure.
3. Indian Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi is on a four-day official visit to Sri Lanka aimed at deepening bilateral defence cooperation. During his stay, Admiral Tripathi held comprehensive discussions with top Sri Lankan defence officials, focusing on naval collaboration and broader trilateral service-level synergy.
4. The Indian Army is preparing for a significant boost in its indirect firepower by considering the procurement of up to 3,000 Vehicle-Mounted Infantry Mortar Systems (VMIMS). This follows the successful induction of 50 such systems featuring the NTGS Alakran-L 81mm mortar, which were delivered between 2023 and early 2024 under a fast-track acquisition process.
5. India is preparing to conduct a crucial test of the Indigenous Technology Cruise Missile (ITCM), a new-generation long-range subsonic cruise missile developed by DRDO in collaboration with the Indian Navy. Capable of striking targets at ranges up to 1,000 kilometres.
6. Project Vijayak Celebrates 15th Raising Day in Kargil: Project Vijayak, launched in 2010 by the Border Roads Organisation (BRO), aims to enhance road connectivity in Kargil and Zanskar regions, formerly under Project Himank.
Named after Operation Vijay, it focuses on two key routes: Zojila–Kargil–Leh and Nimmu–Padam–Darcha in the Western Indus Corridor.
