1. India has signed a $126.42 million loan agreement with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) to promote sustainable tourism and rural development in Uttarakhand’s Tehri Garhwal district, one of the Himalayan state’s most climate-vulnerable and economically disadvantaged regions.
2. Mauritius Prime Minister Dr. Navin Chandra Ram Gulam reached Ayodhya and performed pooja at the Shri Ramlala temple.
During the State Visit of the Prime Minister of Mauritius to India, seven MoUs/agreements were signed between the two nations covering key areas such as Science & Technology, Oceanography, Public Administration, Power, Development Projects, Hydrography, and Space Cooperation.
Additionally, three announcements were made, including academic collaborations between IIT Madras and University of Mauritius, and a proposal to establish a 17.5 MW Floating Solar PV Project at Tamarind Falls with support from NTPC Ltd.
3. In a landmark event, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, and India’s Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan inaugurated the first international campus of IIM Ahmedabad (IIMA) at Dubai International Academic City.
This reflects a major stride in India-UAE educational collaboration and the globalization of Indian higher education.
4. India expanded its innovation landscape globally by inaugurating its first overseas Atal Innovation Centre (AIC) at the IIT Delhi–Abu Dhabi campus in September 2025. This landmark event was led by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan during his official visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
5. The UK-India Infrastructure Financing Bridge (UKIIFB) marked its first anniversary in September 2025. The initiative, launched jointly by the Indian and U.K. governments in 2024, aims to boost infrastructure investment in India.
6. India has voted in favour of a resolution in the UN General Assembly that endorses the ‘New York Declaration’ on the peaceful settlement of the Palestine issue and implementation of the two-state solution. The resolution, introduced by France yesterday, was adopted with an overwhelming 142 nations voting in favour, 10 against and 12 abstentions.

1. In Nepal, former Chief Justice Sushila Karki was sworn in as Prime Minister of the interim government, becoming the first woman to lead the country. President Ramchandra Paudel administered the oath of office to Ms Karki at the Presidential Palace in a ceremony in Kathmandu .
Nepal President Ramchandra Paudel on Friday dissolved the House of Representatives at the recommendation of newly appointed interim Prime Minister Sushila Karki, and announced fresh parliamentary elections for 21 March 2026.
2. Congo Boat Tragedy Kills 86, Many Victims Were Students. the accident occurred on Wednesday in Basankusu territory, and most of the victims were students. It was not immediately clear what caused the accident although the state media blamed it on improper loading and night navigation.
3. Albania has appointed the world’s first Artificial Intelligence (AI)-generated government minister with a goal to make the nation corruption free. Albania’s Prime Minister Edi Rama announced the digital minister to his cabinet.
4. The Ministry of Health and Population of Nepal has shared that 36 people lost their lives in different incidents that occurred in the course of the Gen Z protest.
5. The United Nations Security Council has condemned the Israeli attack on the Qatari capital Doha on Tuesday and called for de-escalation in a statement agreed by all 15 members, including Israel’s chief ally, the United States.
