‘UDAN’ 10th Annual Concert will see Pandit Ronu Majumdar and Tabla Virtuoso Ojas Adhiya
Jaipur Gems Charitable Trust is proud to present the 10th edition of its much-cherished annual concert UDAN, a celebration of the spiritual and timeless beauty of Indian classical music. This milestone event will take place on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at 7:00 PM, at the Nehru Centre Auditorium, Worli, Mumbai.
This year’s concert will feature a captivating flute recital by Padma Shri Pt. Ronu Majumdar, one of India’s most renowned bansuri maestros, accompanied by the brilliant Ojas Adhiya on tabla, whose youthful energy and rhythmic mastery have earned him nationwide acclaim. Kalpesh Sachala will accompany on flute.

UDAN, concert also featured is a soulful vocal recital by the acclaimed classical duo Pt. Ritesh Mishra and Pt. Rajnish Mishra, sons and disciples of the late Padma Bhushan Pt. Rajan Mishra of the legendary Rajan-Sajan Mishra duo. They will be accompanied by Mandar Puranik on tabla and Siddhesh Bicholkar on harmonium.
Jaipur Gems Charitable Trust, founded in October 2005 in memory of Shri Inderchandji Sahib Sacheti (Ajmer), father of Shri Padam Sacheti, has played a vital role in nurturing and promoting the traditions of Indian classical music. What began with a single concert named UGAM has evolved into a cultural institution synonymous with excellence.
The Trust hosts two major annual concerts including UGAM – showcasing established stalwarts of Indian classical music (now held in memory of Pt. Shivkumar Sharma) and UDAN – a vibrant platform for promising young musicians. Through these concerts, the Trust has supported hundreds of budding artists with scholarships and stipends, enabling them to focus on their craft without financial strain. Both events are free and open to invited guests, reflecting the Trust’s commitment to accessibility and community engagement.
To honour contributions to Indian classical music, the Trust also introduced the Pt. Shivkumar Sharma Samman Award, initially named after Pt. Uma Duttji Sharma, and renamed in memory of Pt. Shivkumar Sharma, the Trust’s guiding force until his passing in 2022.
In addition to concerts, the Trust has supported. Morning Hindustani concerts at the Worli Festival (2015 & 2016) Kathak dance recitals by students of Chitresh Das. Numerous initiatives during its two-decade journey to preserve and celebrate India’s rich musical heritage.
