1. External Affairs Minister Dr S. Jaishankar has highlighted that the world needs to understand that the tensions between India and Pakistan are not merely a bilateral issue but a global concern about terrorism and the menace will eventually haunt the rest of the world.
2. India and Sweden have discussed strengthening collaboration across sectors, including clean energy, digital technology, climate, healthcare and life sciences, as well as skill development. 6. Project Pelican, a major investigation conducted by Peel Regional Police, has busted a big narco-terror network based out of Canada and individuals suspected to be Khalistan sympathisers. While the operation led to the largest ever drug seizure there with 479 kg of cocaine valued at $47.9 million, nine individuals including seven Indian-origin men settled in Canada have been arrested.

1. US President Donald Trump announces trade deal with China involving rare earth minerals and student visas.
2. South Korean President Lee Jae-myung has ordered the suspension of loudspeaker broadcasts toward North Korea along the border areas. The Presidential office said the move is aimed at easing tensions and rebuilding trust. Earlier, the military said it had halted the anti-Pyongyang loudspeaker broadcasts.
3. Bangladesh interim leader Muhammad Yunus said that there is no way that he wanted to continue in power after elections he has announced for April, 2026. Bangladesh has been in political turmoil since a student-led movement ousted the then prime minister Sheikh Hasina in August 2024.
4. Sri Lanka will raise electricity tariffs by 15 per cent starting on the 12th of June, the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) announced.
5. A three-day national mourning was announced by Austrian President Alexander Van der Bellen. At least 11 people were killed, including the shooter, in the school shooting that happened in Austria’s second-largest city of Graz on Tuesday morning.
6. Israeli navy conducted its first direct naval attack on the Yemeni port city of Hodeidah, targeting docks that are a crucial entry point for humanitarian aid into the war-torn country.
