1. India’s COVID19 vaccination coverage crosses 214.92 crore so far. More than 14 lakh vaccine doses administered.

2. The Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY) completed its Second anniversary on 10 Sep. The scheme envisages the generation of 68 lakh employment by the end of 2024-25. The Fisheries sector has shown an impressive growth of 14.3% from 2019-20 to 2021-22. The Fish production has reached an all-time high of 161.87 lakh tons during 2021-22.

3. The All India Coordination Meeting of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh began in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. The meeting was inaugurated by Sarsanghchalak Dr. Mohan Bhagwat and Sarkaryavah Dattatreya Hosabale. The three-day meeting will continue till September 12.

4. Two coaches of the Katihar-bound Humsafar Express coming from Delhi got derailed in Bihar’s West Champaran district on Saturday at around 3 pm, no one was injured in the incident.

5. ANDHRA PRADESH : The govt of Andhra Pradesh has decided to revive the Marriage Financial Assistance scheme for backward classes, minorities, and the differently-abled in the state. The scheme will be launched with a new name and an enhanced scale of benefit. The YS Jagan Mohan Reddy-led govt in 2019 had stopped the scheme implemented by former CM Chandrababu Naidu’s govt.

6. GUJARAT : PM Modi inaugurated a two-day ‘Centre-State Science Conclave’ at Ahmedabad in Gujarat through video conferencing.

7. KERALA : Two persons died and two others went missing on Saturday after a palliyodam (snake boat) capsized in the Achankovil river in Kerala’s Chennithala, police said. The incident took place when the victims were preparing to participate in the Aranmula Boat Race on Sunday.

12. Archaeologist B.B. Lal passes away. A doyen in his field, he devoted his entire 101-year life to the subject. He was the Director General of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) from 1968 to 1972 and has served as Director of the Indian Institute of Advanced Studies, Shimla. Prof. B. B. Lal was conferred upon Padma Bhushan in the year 2000.

CRIME REPORT

1. WEST BENGAL : Enforcement Directorate, ED carried out search operations at six premises in Kolkata yesterday in an investigation relating to the Mobile Gaming Application. During the search operation, huge cash of more than seven crore rupees has been found at the premises. Accused used E-Nuggets mobike app, which was designed for the purpose of defrauding public.

2. Heaps of cash found during a raid by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) at Kolkata-based businessman Nisar Ahmed Khan’s house. RBI and SBI officials brought at least eight cash counting machines to Khan’s residence and at least ₹17 crores in cash were seized over several hours. The raid was conducted over mobile gaming application fraud.
