1. The 6th edition of India-Uzbekistan Joint Military Exercise DUSTLIK kicked off on April 16, 2025, at the Foreign Training Node in Pune. This bilateral exercise, continuing until April 28, focuses on enhancing interoperability through sub-conventional warfare simulations in semi-urban terrain.

2. Five distinguished military personnel were honoured with the prestigious MacGregor Memorial Medal for the years 2023 and 2024, in recognition of their exceptional contributions to military reconnaissance, exploration, and adventure. The awards were conferred by Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan at a ceremony hosted by the United Service Institution of India (USI) in New Delhi.

3. India’s Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) unveiled a promising new 6.8x43mm assault rifle prototype, marking a significant advancement in the nation’s indigenous small arms capabilities.

4. Security forces recently arrested 22 Naxalites and seized a substantial cache of explosives in Bijapur district.The operations were conducted at three separate locations, reflecting the intensified efforts of law enforcement against the insurgent group.

US Sailors, Marines, and Indian forces recently completed Exercise Tiger Triumph 2025, a major bilateral tri-service Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) amphibious exercise, marking the fourth edition of this initiative and further strengthening defence ties between India and the United States.The exercise took place from April 1 to April 13, 2025, with activities centred in Visakhapatnam and Kakinada.
