1. The Meteorological Department has predicted snowfall and rain in many states due to western disturbance on the night of 24 February, a warning of thunderstorm and lightning also been issued in Northeast states. Snowfall may occur in areas with an altitude of up to 2800 meters on February 27 and 28.

2. Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his monthly radio programme, Mann Ki Baat, has said India is rapidly carving out a robust identity in the field of artificial intelligence.

1. The Indian Navy is set to add INS Himagiri and INS Udayagiri, two advanced stealth frigates, to its fleet under Project 17A. These warships are part of the Nilgiri class and will boost the Navy’s combat capabilities in warfare domains, including anti-air, anti-surface, and anti-submarine operations. Both INS Himagiri and INS Udayagiri are made with 75 per cent indigenous components.

Nilgiri : The first ship in the series, launched in 2019

Himgiri : The first of the three ships built at GRSE

Udayagiri : Launched in 2023

Dunagiri : Launched in 2023

Taragiri : Named after a hill range in the Himalayas

Mahendragiri : The seventh and final ship in the series.

2. Upendra Dwivedi, Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), on Sunday departed on an official visit to France.

The Indian Army in a statement said the visit aims to “strengthen the military collaboration between India and France.

3. Indian Army has officially released the latest notification for NCC Special Entry Scheme 58th Course , offering Short Service Commission (SSC) for both men and women, including wards of battle casualties of Army personnel.

Application Start Date 14th February 2025. Closing Date is 15th March 2025.

Candidates must possess a graduation degree with minimum 50% marks.

Should have served in NCC for at least two academic years.

Must have secured minimum ‘B’ grade in NCC ‘C’ certificate examination.

Minimum Age: 19 Years
Maximum Age: 25 Years

4. the Indian Navy has handed over decommissioned Landing Ship Tank INS Guldar to the Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) for conversion into India’s first underwater museum and artificial reef.

5. The Gurj Division of the Indian Army conducted a familiarization visit for Indian Air Force (IAF) personnel at the Mamun Military Station in Pathankot.
