2. Senior National Badminton Titles at 86th Edition in Bengaluru:
Karnataka’s M Raghu and Haryana’s Devika Sihag secured senior national badminton titles in the men’s and women’s sections at the 86th edition of the tournament in Bengaluru.
In the men’s Final, Raghu, saved three match points in the decider of the match to beat former champion Mithun Manjunath 14-21, 21-14, 24-22.
In the Women’s Final, Devika registered a comfortable victory against Shriyanshi Valishetty 21-15, 21-16.
3. In weightlifting, Parv Chaudhary secured two bronze medals in the 96 kg category to continue India’s domination at the Asian Youth and Junior Weightlifting Championships in Doha, Qatar.
