1. Parliament gears up for a stormy start next week over the Adani issue, the government has listed 16 bills, including one to amend the waqf law and five new ones, for the winter session.

8. ISRO is set to launch the European Space Agency’s (ESA) PROBA-3 mission on 4 December 2024, from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SHAR) in Sriharikota, India. This mission will utilize ISRO’s PSLV-XL rocket to deploy two satellites into a highly elliptical orbit designed for studying the Sun’s corona, the outer atmosphere of the Sun.

1. NEW APPOINTMENT : Justice D. Krishnakumar from the Madras High Court appointed as the new Chief Justice of the High Court of Manipur.
2. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has made a significant arrest in connection with a 2020 narco-terror case in Kashmir. On November 20, 2024, the NIA apprehended Muneer Ahmad Banday, a key figure who had been evading capture for four years. He is linked to a conspiracy involving banned Pakistan-based terrorist organizations, which are accused of engaging in drug trafficking to finance terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir and beyond.
3. Manipur crisis: Even after completion of the post-mortem of all the bodies of the six missing persons from Manipur’s Jiribam district, the corpses remain at the morgue of the Silchar Medical College and Hospital (SMCH) in Assam as family members are unwilling to take them back for last rites.

3. Actress Kasthuri was released from the Puzhal Central Prison on Thursday, a day after she was granted conditional bail by a court in a case of alleged derogatory comment against Telugu speaking people. Actor Kasthuri Shankar was arrested from Hyderabad on 16 November.

1. India and Australia have recently signed a significant arrangement that enables air-to-air refuelling between their military aircraft, marking a pivotal step in enhancing their defence cooperation. This agreement was announced during the Australia-India Air Staff Talks held in New Delhi on 21 November 2024. The Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) will utilize its KC-30A Multi-Role Tanker Transport aircraft to refuel Indian Armed Forces aircraft.
2. 🇧🇷Brazil and India are currently engaged in negotiations that could lead to a significant defence barter deal involving the HAL TEJAS MK-1A fighter jet and the Embraer C-390 Millennium military transport aircraft.
3. The SAMOOHA constellation is an emerging project developed by the Defence Research and Development Laboratory (DRDL) in India, aimed at enhancing the country’s electronic intelligence (ELINT) capabilities. This initiative follows the earlier EMISAT project, which focused on ground-based electronic intelligence gathering.
4. 🇷🇺Russia Launches Intercontinental Ballistic Missile at Ukraine: On 21 November 2024, Russia reportedly launched an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) from the Astrakhan region, marking the first use of such a weapon in the ongoing conflict with Ukraine.
5. Army launched probe into alleged ill-treatment of civilians during anti-terror operations in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kishtwar district.
According to reports, allegations have been levelled against some soldiers for beating five civilians resulting in injuries to them during anti-terror operations in Mughal Maidan area on November 20.
