India has won 16 medals and Medallions

1. OPERATION SADBHAV : India on Sunday sent urgent relief supplies to Myanmar, Laos and Vietnam under an operation christened ‘Sadbhav’ to assist them in dealing with the devastating impact of a major typhoon.

2. The 🇩🇪German Development Minister, Svenja Schulze, greeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Germany Pavilion during the 4th Global Renewable Energy Investor’s Meet (RE-INVEST) 2024 on Monday.Svenja Schulze is on a three-day visit to Gujarat. She is representing Germany as a partner country at the investor conference dedicated to renewable energy.

3. The ongoing disengagement process between India🇮🇳 and 🇨🇳China along the LAC in eastern Ladakh marks a critical juncture in the region’s geopolitics. After four years of tense standoff and military build-up, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar’s recent remarks that “75% of the disengagement problems have been sorted out” offer hope for stability along the contested border.

4. India has won 16 medals and Medallions of Excellence at World Skills 2024 in Lyon, France. The accolades include four Bronze in Patisserie and Confectionery, Industry 4.0, Hotel Reception and Renewable Energy. In addition to that the Indian delegation earned 12 medallions of Excellence, a testament to their exceptional skills and consistent performance across various trades.

1. Two Baloch “pro-independence” armed groups, the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) and the Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF), have claimed responsibility for separate attacks targeting Pakistani security forces in the Kalat and Nushki districts of Balochistan.

2. The Hindu community in the New Aliabad Colony in Pakistan’s Hyderabad staged a protest in front of the Hyderabad Press Club and later in front of the SSP office, showcasing outrage over the alleged assault on RamaPir Hindu Temple.

3. Iran successfully launched its Chamran-1 research satellite into orbit using the Qaem-100 rocket, developed by the Revolutionary Guard. The satellite aims to test orbital maneuver technology. This launch comes amid heightened Middle East tensions and follows recent military actions by Iran.

4. The United Nations announced that the Taliban has suspended all polio vaccination campaign in Afghanistan. UN agencies said that they were notified about the suspension just days before the scheduled September immunisation campaign, though no official reason was provided.

5. The International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer observed every year on the 16th of September. The theme for this year is “Montreal Protocol: Advancing Climate Actions”.

6. Flooding in Europe has claimed eight lives as heavy rains from Storm Boris battered the central and eastern regions of the continent.
