Delhi. 42 degrees. Two strangers. And a stimulating bumpy ride in a crowded local bus.
This week, we lighten the mood with a comedic short film, touted as India’s first silent LGBTQA+ love story.
‘Lost & Found’ is a comedy of errors, elevated through a skillful use of over-the-top acting, a strong musical track and imaginative storytelling. The film brings same-sex desire and romance to light in a country like India where the law has finally shown acceptance while the society, as a whole, is yet to catch up. It reminds us how diverse voices that transgress conventions help create a rich social fabric, and need to be supported and given ample space.
Watch ‘Lost & Found’ to be transported to the silent era and have a good laugh.
