The story of a daughter’s love undimmed by the years after her father’s disappearance.
At a time when life feels fragile, it helps to remember that true love is infinite and everlasting. It does not end with separation, or fade away with passing seasons. If there was only one lesson to learn from this ongoing pandemic experience, we wish it would be this: choose love over fear.
‘Father And Daughter’ is storytelling at its best. Without the use of dialogue, the film communicates deep emotions of separation, longing and the power of love. With simple yet evocative imagery and a moving soundtrack, the film is able to beautifully capture the passage of time. It uses the traditional animation technique where each frame is hand-drawn. It took eight years for this film to be completed. It won an Oscar for Best Animated Short in 2001.
