*On Fifth Day : Indian athletes won a gold, two silver and a bronze to take overall tally to eleven.*
(a) Nitesh Kumar bagged a gold medal in Para-Badminton, defeating Britain’s Daniel Bethell in Men’s Singles SL3 event.
(b) Yogesh Kathuniya won silver medal in F56 category of Men’s Discus Throw event. Its his second successive silver medal in Paralympics.
(c) Shuttler Thulasimathi Murugesan claimed silver after losing her women’s singles (SU5) final to China’s Qiu Xia Yang.
(d) Another shuttler Manisha Ramadass won a bronze in women’s singles SU5 category, after beating Cathrine Rosengren of Denmark.
(e) In 🎯Archery, World No.1 para-archer Rakesh Kumar narrowly missed the bronze medal in the men’s individual compound open. Despite starting with a perfect 30 , he lost to China’s He Zihao by just one point, 147-146.
The President, Vice President, Prime Minister and Sports Minister have congratulated all the winners.
