1. India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast cold wave to severe cold wave conditions over Himachal Pradesh, East Rajasthan and Punjab during the next 2-3 days.

2. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will not conduct any recruitment exams starting 2025 and will focus on only higher education entrance exams, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said on Tuesday.

The Commission is interacting with the Delhi Chief Electoral Officer and officials from the police and administration. The term of the 70 member Delhi Legislative Assembly is ending on 23rd February next year.

7. The Ministry of Minority Affairs said that the National Commission for Minorities conducts ‘Sarv Dharam Samvad’ with representatives of minority communities to promote communal harmony and discuss problems of Buddhist, Jain and other communities.

8. In Kerala, one more person has been confirmed to have a Mpox infection. The disease was confirmed in a Kannur native who had returned from UAE. Earlier, the disease was confirmed in a Wayanad native, who had also returned from abroad.

1. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) said it has filed a charge sheet against two key associates of the designated terrorist Lakhbir Singh of the banned Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) organisation. The charge sheet was submitted before the NIA Special Court in Mohali, Punjab.

2. In the matter related to farmers’ protest at the border between Punjab and Haryana, the Supreme Court asked Punjab authorities to swiftly tackle the health situation of farmers’ leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal. He is on fast-unto-death at the Khanauri-Shambhu border for 20 days.

3. In Punjab, farmers blocked train routes at 52 places under Ferozepur Railway Division as part of their three-hour ‘Rail Roko’ protest. However, the protest passed off peacefully.

4. Both Houses of Parliament were adjourned for the day following ruckus by the Opposition accusing Home Minister Amit Shah of insulting Dr B R Ambedkar.

The Government accused the opposition of distorting the remarks of Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Dr B R Ambedkar. Prime Minister Narendra Modi hit back at the Congress over its allegation against the remarks saying Amit Shah has exposed the Congress’ dark history of insulting the architect of the Indian Constitution.

In Maharashtra, atleast 13 people died in a boat accident near Mumbai this evening. A private ferry boat en route from gateway of India to Elephanta Caves capsized near Uran in Raigad district. out of 13 victims, 10 are civilians and other three navy personnel.
